Why the Switch?

You Need To Understand:

This only works with games that can have extensive screen scaling options.

This is a tutorial on how to preserve the aspect ratio of 4:3 games when using an HDMI to AV cable going from the Switch to a CRT.

You Need:

• HDMI to AV doohickey
• Switch (duh)
• Switch dock
• CRT Television (duh)
• Switch game(s) with screen scaling options

Reversing HD to AV aspect ratio.

When you use the HD to AV converter, it's gonna screw up the aspect ratio of the screen because it's taking a 16:9 video signal and squishing it to fit a 4:3 screen.

Once we've got the HD to AV connected, it's all about finding games that give us enough screen control options to get us back to 4:3.
